Facer’s Brewery produced its first brew at the new site in Flintshire on 4th Feb 2006;
a one-off (later to become, by popular demand, a two-off) brew called AB Bitter after Alan Banks, local CAMRA stalwart, Facer’s Brewery, Brewery Liaison Officer and handyman brewery installer extraordinaire.

The brewery has gone from strength to strength with production now (Feb 2007) running at 6 or 7 barrels per week. Phill Blanchard joined the brewery as Assistant Brrewer in January 2007 to help increase production further and we aim to be regularly selling 8 barrels a week by April 2007. Phill has many talents including web site design, and the existence of this site after 4 years without one is testament to Phill’s hard work.

A couple of new accounts have tried Facer’s beers for the first time in February, including the Llyn y Mawn in Brynford (near Holywell) and The Tavern in Alltami, near Mold.

Cheers,
Dave
